Orville Peck is the indie post-punk country music mystery man behind the veil hailing from South Africa. With Best Country Album, Cultural Icon Award, and Breakthrough Artist from Libera Awards and Tom Finland Foundation already under his belt, Peck set out to take his music to the next level. Born in South Africa and raised in his teenage years in Canada, Peck was a star in the making. After his apparent interest in musical instruments and the discovery of country music at 14, he has been on musical tours since his early 20s.
"Orville Peck" is a pseudonym with the artist's highest regard for privacy. His debut single was released in 2017, titled "Dead of Night," which garnered quite the traction leading him to #1 in the Emerging Artist Chart and #5 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. His music is considered one of the unique styles of emerging artists today with its country punk with a side of goth and dream pop stage presence and performance.
Apart from being nominated multiple times for different categories like Outstanding Breakthrough Artist of GLAAD Media Awards and Alternative Album of the Year from Juno, he released his latest album, "Bronco," just last year of April. With the release of this promising album, Orville Peck will be on his Bronco tour across two countries this year.
Mark your calendars for a mesmerizing performance this July 13 with American singer-songwriter and blues country artist Charley Crockett at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theater.
