Not just a singer, but a jack-of-all-trades – songwriter, producer, author, and a big advocate for kids. You might recognize him from his catchy tunes, especially the legendary "Baby Beluga." The Washington Post once hailed him as "the most popular children's singer in the English-speaking world," and the Toronto Star dubbed him "Canada's all-time children's champion." He's got some impressive awards too – the Order of Canada and the United Nations' Earth Achievement Award. Plus, he's not just about kids' stuff; he's written books for adults and holds five honorary degrees. What's even cooler? He's never sold out to advertisements or endorsements targeted at kids, proving that he's all about treating his young fans with respect. Raffi's music has not just entertained fans, but it's changed how the world looks at music made just for children!
New dates for the #belugagrads tour in 2024 have been revealed by Raffi. Along the North American run, the adored children's entertainer has planned dates in Canada.
Raffi will make his Los Angeles debut on February 17 at the Orpheum Theatre. Throughout the year, he will also play in San Diego, Red Bank, Philadelphia, Hartford, and Providence. September marks the start of the brief Canadian leg, with Raffi performing on September 28 at Hamilton's First Ontario Centre. Two gigs at Toronto's Massey Hall (October 5 and 6) were supposedly the end of the trip but he has announced a surprise. He’s ending it in Vancouver for a two-day extravaganza!
“I love singing for children and families,” Raffi said. “In 2024, I look forward to hearing more ‘beluga grads’ and their kids singing favourites like “Baby Beluga,” “Down By The Bay,” and Bananaphone!” and others from my Best of Raffi album.”
So, show your support for the beloved singer-songwriter by coming to the show! Mark your calendars for the 1st of December. Bring the entire family along too! But remember, all guests are required to get their own ticket - regardless of their age. So if you have smaller toddlers coming with you to the show, you need to purchase tickets for them too. Nevertheless, we have them all right here.
